Analytics and Measurement FAQ

What is Event Parameter?

Answer and Example

Event Parameter is additional information attached to an analytics event to describe context or value.

It matters because analytics turns marketing activity into decisions. Without clear measurement language, teams may misread performance, overvalue the wrong channels, or miss the actions that actually drive revenue.

Example

A purchase event may include parameters such as transaction_id, value and currency. Check both the event and its parameters, since a recorded purchase without accurate value or transaction identity can produce misleading revenue reports.
