Audience Strategy

Define who should see follow-up advertising and why.

Segment by relevant behavior and recency, distinguishing prospects, customers and recent converters. Choose a useful next step for each group. Confirm consent, platform policy and data-source eligibility before building audiences; prior website activity does not by itself authorize every use.

Tracking Setup

Verify tags and audience rules before launch.

Check the correct platform account, event definitions and permitted data collection. Test audience logic and allow for applicable eligibility thresholds or delays. Record how lists are populated and refreshed, and avoid assuming a tag firing means every visitor joins an audience.

Creative and Messaging

Make follow-up messages relevant without exposing personal behavior.

Connect the message to a broad stage of interest and provide an appropriate next action. Avoid language that implies surveillance or reveals sensitive inferred details. Keep offers accurate and refresh creative when repeated exposure no longer adds useful information.

Frequency and Budget

Control saturation within the features the platform supports.

Review audience size, delivery frequency, placements and spend together. Apply caps where available and monitor concentration rather than treating one frequency target as universal. A small audience may need a smaller budget or broader eligibility before additional creative can help.

Conversion and Exclusion Rules

Keep exclusions aligned with current customer status.

Define when a lead or purchaser should leave each sequence and verify that updates reach the platform. Use customer lists only through approved processes. Test abandonment rules so ordinary navigation, consent changes or repeat visits do not create misleading audience membership.

Measurement

Separate attributed conversions from demonstrated incremental impact.

Report click-through and view-through outcomes with their windows and definitions. Compare qualified results, cost and audience overlap with prospecting activity. Use a suitable holdout when feasible, and state limitations when observed conversions cannot establish what would have happened without the ads.
