Crawl Access

Separate public crawl access from private staging protection.

Fetch robots.txt, sitemap files and representative assets as an unauthenticated visitor. Protect private staging with authentication; a robots exclusion alone does not secure it. Compare the declared rules with what important production URLs actually return.

Indexation Controls

Make indexation decisions deliberate and consistent.

For each template, compare status code, robots directives, canonical and sitemap inclusion. Use the destination that represents the intended page, and investigate conflicting signals. Do not redirect unrelated removed pages to the homepage merely to eliminate a 404 report.

Rendering and JavaScript

Verify that essential content and links survive rendering.

Compare initial HTML with the rendered page. Test navigation, lazy loading and direct entry to deeper URLs without relying on prior clicks. Important service information should remain accessible when a visitor arrives from search on that exact URL.

Site Architecture

Create understandable routes between related pages.

Draw a small map of hubs, service pages and supporting resources. Follow those routes on desktop and mobile, including archive pagination. Add contextual links where they help a reader; avoid adding every resource to every page just to reduce click depth.

Performance and Page Experience

Measure slow or unstable templates before choosing fixes.

Use both field data where available and repeatable lab tests. Record device, connection settings, cache state and the element responsible for each issue. Change the largest demonstrated bottleneck, then retest navigation, forms and layout as well as the score.

Structured Data and QA

Validate both machine-readable descriptions and the visible experience.

Use markup that accurately represents the page and verify required properties against current documentation. A valid schema test does not guarantee a search enhancement. Keep a release log with representative URLs, mobile checks and a tested rollback path.
