Website pricing varies because every site has different goals, content, design expectations, technical requirements, and conversion needs. This calculator gives business owners a planning range for a professional website or redesign. It is not a final quote, but it helps clarify the work that typically drives cost.
What this calculator does
Estimate the cost of a business website by modeling page count, design complexity, content needs, CMS setup, SEO setup, ecommerce, integrations, and maintenance.
How to use it
Enter the number of pages, project type, design complexity, copywriting needs, SEO setup, integrations, ecommerce features, and maintenance level. The calculator estimates a low-to-high project range and optional annual maintenance cost.
Formula and assumptions
- Base project cost varies by project type.
- Page cost, copywriting cost, SEO setup, integrations, ecommerce, and custom functionality are added to the base.
- A range multiplier is used because discovery and final scope affect the real project cost.
Assumptions
- The estimate assumes professional strategy, design, development, QA, launch support, and basic technical SEO.
- Custom functionality, advanced integrations, membership areas, booking systems, or complex ecommerce can increase cost.
- Final scope should be based on discovery, sitemap, design requirements, content, and technical needs.
Model details and limits
- These are illustrative model allowances in US dollars, not a binding project quote. Template/custom/advanced base amounts are $2,500/$6,500/$12,000, plus $150/$350/$650 per page. Copywriting adds $250 per page; integrations add $450 each.
- Basic/standard/advanced SEO setup adds $750/$1,800/$3,500. Light/moderate/complex functionality adds $1,500/$4,000/$9,000; none adds $0. Ecommerce adds $2,500 plus $20 per product for the first 250 products. Larger catalogs require separate scoping.
- The low and high estimates are 85% and 125% of the subtotal. Their arithmetic midpoint is 105% of that subtotal. Monthly maintenance allowances are $0/$250/$500/$1,000 for none/basic/standard/premium; they are separate from the project estimate.
Worked example
The default custom 10-page build has a $6,500 base, $3,500 page allowance, $2,000 copywriting, $1,800 SEO setup and $900 integrations: $14,700 subtotal. The range is $12,495–$18,375, with a $15,435 midpoint. Standard maintenance adds $500 monthly or $6,000 annually.

How to interpret your result
If the estimate feels high, reduce scope carefully. Cutting strategy, content, SEO setup, QA, or tracking can make a cheaper website more expensive over time if it fails to generate leads.
